At-will Employment
Spectrum is an ‘at will’ employer. This means that either you or Spectrum may terminate the employment relationship at any time, for any reason, with or without cause or notice. Nothing in this Staff Handbook or in any document or statement, written or oral, shall limit the right to terminate employment at-will.
Equal Employment Opportunity
Spectrum is committed to equal employment opportunity. Spectrum and its Directors, Officers or other Staff Members will conduct themselves in all circumstances in a manner that neither considers nor discriminates on the basis of: race, age, skin color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, physical or mental disability or veteran status.
It is in Spectrum's best interest to attract and employ the most qualified people in order to fill our present and future needs. Therefore, we hire solely on the basis of individual merit and qualifications necessary to meet the job requirements. You may discuss equal employment opportunity related questions with any member of management.
Immigration Reform and Control Act
In compliance with the federal Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 (IRCA), as amended, Spectrum is committed to employing only individuals who are authorized to work in the United States. Each new Staff Member, as a condition of employment, must complete the Employment Eligibility Verification Form I-9 and present documentation establishing identity and employment eligibility.
If a Staff Member is authorized to work in this country for only a limited period of time, the individual will be required to submit proof of renewed employment eligibility prior to expiration of that period, in order to remain employed by Spectrum.
Americans with Disabilities Act
Spectrum is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to otherwise qualified individuals with disabilities, which may include providing reasonable accommodation where appropriate. In general, it is your responsibility to notify your manager of the need for such accommodation. Upon doing so, your manager may ask you for your input or the type of accommodation you believe may be necessary or the functional limitations caused by your disability. In addition, when appropriate, Spectrum may need your permission to obtain additional information from your physician or other medical or rehabilitation professionals.
Conflict of Interest Guideline
Staff Members are expected to devote their best efforts and attention to the full-time performance of their jobs. They are expected to use good judgment, adhere to high ethical standards, and avoid situations that create an actual or potential conflict between the Staff Member’s personal or financial interests and the interests of Spectrum and/or its clients.
